Read-A-Thon

2021 ReadAThon Begins October 4th

The theme for the 2021 Read-a-Thon is “Read Like a Champ” because just like our Super Bowl Champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers, our AL East Winning Tampa Bay Rays and our Stanley Cup Champions two years in a row Tampa Bay Lightning, our LME Manatees our Champions at reading and achieving.

If you are a community member and can help us get one of our local hometown athletes to attend a 20-30 minute event to shake hands with our Champ Readers and celebrate, please email lkmagpta@gmail.com with details! We are hoping to do this on one day within the first two weeks of November.

2019 Read-A-Thon News!

We are so proud of our Lake Magdalene students and families for helping us raise $11,000 this year to go directly back to our school for supplies and enhancements! A very special thank you to our school’s media specialist, Mrs. Ferrera, for another amazing job on organizing this event while also encouraging all our teachers and students to read and to love reading! The students had a great time dressing up like storybook characters and vocabulary words at our big Read-A-Thon celebration. They cheered on their fellow classmates as they received awards for all their hard work! Here are this year’s award winners:
