Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are very important and are very needed!  The PTA sponsors many activities, projects and programs throughout the school year, and volunteers play an important role in the implementation of all of them.

PTA volunteers have a great time meeting other parents and working with the children.  The satisfaction and pride you will feel as you share your talents with the students is immeasurable.  Even as little as an hour of your time can make a tremendous difference.

There are many opportunities throughout the year to volunteer.  Everyone is bound to find one that can fit the busy schedules we lead.

Here are the latest Opportunities for School Year 2011-2012

Available Chair or Co-Chair Positions: 

United Skates Nights - Dates are already set! Put up posters, send home flyers, sell pre-sale tickets, and distribute pre-sold tickets at door on night of event.

Manafest - Plan & organize our annual spring festival which includes food vendors, entertainment, rides, inflatables, game booths, prizes, ticket sales and the coordination of many volunteers.  

Book Buddies - Organizing and pairing up a parent, high school student, or grandparent volunteer with a student in need of extra one on one reading help. You will be working with teachers and volunteers to coordinate times. -Completed Serve form application required for mentor participation.

Corporate Sponsors - Secure corporate sponsorship from local businesses that will be listed in our newsletter and added to our sponsorship banner.

Hospitality - Provide snacks and refreshments (Reimbursed by PTA) for PTA meetings, and other smaller programs, such as Kindergarten Round-Up, Boo-Hoo Breakfast, and FCat Breakfast.

Volunteers Needed For:

Entertainment Book Fundraiser, Read-A-Thon Fundraiser, Manafest, Fifth Grade Activities, Teacher Appreciation Week, Skate Nights, Barnes & Noble Night, and Programs including the parties under the pavilion, Grandparents Day Breakfast, and Citizenship Awards, to name a few.

Large commitment or small, we need it all!
